Saint Clair Cemin, Psycha je dokumentarni film koji prati proslavljenog brazilskog umjetnika Saint Clair Cemina u period od pet godina. U režiji Svetlane Cemin, film predstavlja intiman portret umetnika i duboko razmišljanje o vajarevom putu da od svog remek-dela Psiha napravi mermerni čamac. Ovaj eksperimentalni dokumentarac odražava proces stvaranja Psihe od embrionalne faze u njegovom studiju u Bruklinu, preko završne obrade u Kini, do konačnog odredišta u Klivlendu, Ohajo. Sniman u Brzilu, Svajcerskoj, Kini i Americi ovaj izuzetn film o procesu kreeativnosti je nagradivan na vise od trideset svetskih festivala i premijerno prikazan na Beldoksu 2021.

SYNOPSIS

Saint Clair Cemin, Psyche is a documentary film following the celebrated Brazilian artist Saint Clair Cemin over the last five years. Directed by Svetlana Cemin, the film presents an intimate portrait of the artist and a deep reflection on the sculptor’s journey to make his masterpiece, Psyche, a marble boat. This experimental documentary reflects the making process of Psyche from the embryonic stage in his studio in Brooklyn, through the finishing touches in China, and to its final destination in Cleveland, Ohio.

Director‘s Statement

610FILM is an art-house film production company, which I founded 2015 in a Brooklyn warehouse, with the mission to capture moments of creativity expressed in unique ways by focusing on the documentation of various art forms and artists. My projects include award-winning feature documentaries and experimental short films Monk Arsenije, Saint Clair Cemin, Psyche, Adam Fuss, A Landscape of Imagination, Metamorphosis, Madeleine Hatz, A Royal Vagabund; BURN and Laura Kaplan, Love is All that Matters.

Svetlana Cemin is a writer, director, producer, and the founder of 610FILM, an art-house film production company, founded with an artist Saint Clair Cemin. With the mission, which began in 2015, to capture moments of creativity expressed in unique ways by focusing on the documentation of various art forms and artists, collaborating on a diverse range of projects, from short films, art documentaries, experimental and feature films. She was born in Bel-grade, Serbia and has been living and working on the New York-Paris route for many years. Prior to becoming an award-winning filmmaker, she worked as an internationally renowned fashion model and as an actress. As an actress she appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions and appeared in Claire Dolan a film by Lodge Kerrigan which premiered in Cannes Film Festival. Among many artists, the collaboration with Alen Lucien Oyen brought Psychopatriot to the screen. Svetlana is also a jury member of the New Wave Film Festival in Munich, Germany. Svetlana Cemin is recipient of 69 International film awards and honors.
